Dog Walkers

Can you commit to walking dogs 1 day a week? If the answer is yes then. we encourage you to join our dog walking team. Daily walk times are from 8-10:30 every day, while its still relatively cool. To join our team simply fill in the volunteer form, if you are already a volunteer, then just turn up.

Afternoons Mondays and Friday from 4-5:30 pm

Saturday and Sunday afternoons as advertised on the Volunteer Group.

Sausage sizzle co-ordinator Saturday 1 x Monthly

This co-ordinator role will see the person setting up and cooking BBQ for Volunteers and friends at the shelter on a Saturday Morning. Be a part of our team building and enjoy the company of like minded people everyone welcome.

Enrichment Creators

The PAWS Darwin team is working hard at building enrichment into the lives of the animals in the shelter, we are looking for people to help us to create games, freeze chews and to help our enrichment co-ordinator to have enough games and toys for every dog to have something to work their brains every day.

Grant Writers

We are looking for support in the area of writing grants, The ideal person would have a knowledge of grant writing, be able to take our ideas and put them into a package, and support the work of the team to gain resources to help the shelter. This is a team effort and means we can help more animals in need

Sunday Shift Volunteers

Love spending time with the animals but work full time, how about a visit on Sunday mornings to help the team at the shelter. jobs range from walking the dogs, spending time in the cattery to helping clean and feed the shelter animals, your support means that the animals get more time and focus, and saves valuable resources too. Want to do even more, Volunteer to be a part of our Sunday enrichment program and co-ordinate enrichment activities for the dogs.
