About Course

Shelter dogs are dogs who life has been tough for, wether they come from a home with someone who “loved them” then surrendered them or wether they were left at the pound uncollected. Shelter dogs come to the shelter tressed and without knowing anything about the shelter or where they are going.

A broad base line is set by the dogs that come through the shelter and they each respond differently to the circumstances that they find them self in. The dogs who are resilient are the dogs who do best, dogs who have received socialisation, dogs who have been wet cared for ad cosseted do not always make the transition from loving home to shelter dog. In fact many surrendered dogs struggle with shelter life more than the average pound dog, and it can even lead them to aggressive behaviour to other dogs and even their carers..
